Betsy is in foster in the West Midlands so any potential adopters will be required to visit her at least once upon completion of a successful home check. Her adoption donation is £200, and this covers all her treatment to date, neutering, vaccinations, microchip and flea/worm treatment. All applications filled out on our website will be sent directly to our email and a member of the team will be in touch with successful applicants to arrange a homecheck. Please bare in mind that a lot of our homecheckers are unavailable at the moment due to shielding from covid so in some areas it may take us longer to arrange your visit. Please be patient with us. We would also like to extend a special thanks to a kind supporter who donated a very beautiful collar and lead for Betsy, they will be included in her adoption pack to leave with her on her new adventure.
Ballu is ready for a foster to adopt placement. Our gorgeous boy is ready to start taking applications! Ballu has extensive guarding issues so it is very important that his potential home has experience of these issues, and also bull breeds/mastiff types as his behaviour is quite typical of a mastiff in some respects. Ballu can be quite immature in some ways and thinks he can bully his way out of a situation where he doesn’t want to listen. This includes mouthing and getting over stimulated so Ballu is looking for a home with adults only, no resident children or visiting children, no other pets and a large secure garden for plenty of training and exercise. On a positive note, Ballu is a lovely boy. He warms to people relatively quickly and he susses people out quickly too. He’s energetic, loves to play and bombs about the paddock in his element. Hes intelligent, and enjoys training and food rewards! We will be exceptionally thorough in our search for a home for Ballu. Applicants will need to prove their experience of guarding issues and be able to follow strict instructions and guidance, for a long period of time post-adoption. Our team will be on hand for the duration of Ballu’s foster period and as life time back up for him too. Ballu has been neutered; albeit quite young, which we believe could have exacerbated his issues, but we are hoping with boundaries and set expectations he will be a role model in months to come. Applications should be completed on our webpage and one of the team will be in touch to discuss should your application meet Ballu’s needs in principle. Ballu is currently in our kennels in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Successful applicants will be expected to make several visits to Ballu and meet with our kennel staff and team member to assess suitability.
Tiny – Approx 9 years old We are looking for a permanent foster placement for Tiny. Permanent foster means that we will always be financially responsible for Tiny, but she needs to live in a loving home environment with a family for the rest of her days. She joined us recently, after her owner became too unwell to look after her. As you can see from the photos “Tiny” has been well loved, maybe a little too much! She was a staggering 7.8kg on the scales! Her temporary foster family tell us that Tiny is sweet and affectionate. She always wants to be near you, and loves a cuddle! At night time Tiny will sleep in an open crate in the kitchen, and she loves to make herself a big snuggly nest out of blankets. Tiny is currently on a diet! She has two small meals a day with no processed food or treats at all. She has a Grade 5 Heart Murmur so it is imperative that Tiny sheds some weight, and remains healthy so a strict foster family is an absolute must. Tiny will need regular check ups at a vet to monitor her health and her weight. Due to her health, she can only tolerate short on-lead walks. She is not allowed to exercise excessively, due to her heart. Tiny also had a water infection when she joined us, but this has now cleared up. Tiny is tolerant of larger breed dogs, but will not tolerate small breeds, cats or small furries. With this in mind, we would consider a family with an older calmer dog for Tiny to chill with. She also loves children so 7+ year old children will be considered. Younger ages will be considered on their own merit. But please bare in mind that Tiny will need a calm home environment to keep her stress levels low as she can’t run around like a crazy pup because of her heart.Tiny can be left for short periods of time. She is happy to sleep the day away but does prefer people to be around most of the day. If you think you can offer Tiny the calm and loving retirement home she needs, please fill out a form on our webpage. If your application is successful in principle one of our team will be in touch to discuss your application further and arrange a homecheck. Due to current restrictions all homechecks will be Covid compliant, however some of our homecheckers are shielding so it may take us longer to arrange a homecheck than normal so please be patient with us.
