We are Team Poundie, a UK registered charity working with rescues in order to save dogs from death in council pounds.
When a dog warden takes a stray dog into the pound they have 7 days for an owner to claim them; unclaimed dogs are killed unless they can be taken on by a rescue for the chance to find a new home.
Team Poundie work with council pounds to get dogs out before they are sent for their injection, and we work with rescues to find spaces, vaccinate, neuter, and sometimes even pay for rehabilitation of dogs that have been mistreated.
Team Poundie do everything we can to secure these unwanted dogs a safe and happy future; to make sure they can get to their rescue via safe transport.
